IPL 2022: Interacting with Ricky Pointing will be a big achievement, says Yash Dhull

India’s U-19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull started his training for IPL 2022. Meanwhile, Vicky Ostwal and Ashwin Hebbar also trained for Delhi Capitals. It was the first training session for the three with an IPL club. Dhull was picked by Delhi Capitals for INR 50 lakh in the IPL auction. In a media release, Dhull said that this is his first IPL and he is ready to give 100 percent in everything that he is going to do on the field.

The 19-year-old cricketer said that he is looking forward to play alongside David Warner and Rishabh Pant. Dhull admitted that he is delighted to meet and interact with Ricky Pointing. The right-handed batter revealed that he is very excited at the prospect of interacting with Delhi Capitals head coach, saying it would be a big achievement for him.  

Meanwhile, Ostwal said he is eager to get tips from senior pro Axar Patel. Left-arm spinner stated that from watching the IPL on TV to getting a chance to play for a franchise is a big journey for him. Ostwal admitted that he is eyeing to take tips from him with regards to the way he should bowl in T20s. Further, Ostwal said that he is feeling proud to work with some legends of the game.

All-rounder Hebbar said that it’s been wonderful to be in the Delhi Capitals camp. Hebbar added that he was feeling a bit nervous as it was his first nets session with an IPL team. Delhi Capitals will start their IPL campaign against Mumbai Indians on 27th March.
