Virat Kohli gets picked as the best white-ball cricketer by veteran Wasim Jaffer

India’s former Tests batsman was given the tough grind of choosing the best white-ball cricketer to have ever emerged from the country. Jaffer was faced with three options to pick between Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The Mumbaikar just like his batting style simply took the name of Virat Kohli. Wasim Jaffer is considered as a legend to have ever graced the pitch in the circuit of domestic cricket.

Sachin is known worldwide as the god of cricket with him having every possible batting record to his name. Kohli on the other hand is considered as one of the top horses to go past Sachin’s mammoth milestone in ODI. Kohli has registered a staggering 43 ODI centuries from just 248 ODIs. Whereas Rohit Sharma is the only player in the history of cricket to have scored a total of three double centuries in ODI games. In last year’s World Cup, he created another record of scoring the most centuries (5) in a single edition of the tournament.

Jaffer has featured in 31 International Tests for India in which he scored 1944 runs. He was also asked to name his favorite partner and captain for which he chose the names of Sehwag and Ganguly. Recently named as the head coach of the Uttarakhand Ranji team for the next domestic season, Jaffer concluded the interview by adding that he is eagerly looking forward to his new coaching stint.
