Upbeat India enter the T20 series on a positive note

India will enter the T20 series with great confidence from the last ODI win. They can take a positive note of finding a good bowling attack that could very well help them defeat Australia.

Unlike the first two ODI games, Virat was able to win the toss on the last match, an important factor while playing away games and this can build Virat’s confidence more.

On a track as easy-going as this Manuka Oval, India could have ended up with a far better score than the eventual 302-5. Prior to the 3rd ODI 348-8 had been the lowest score in this venue during the last four ODIs before this one.

Shikhar Dhawan, after a clumsy inning, was dismissed for 16 runs. Shubman Gill was seen playing at ease which also allowed Virat Kohli to take his time on the pitch. But it was with the partnership of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja that the Indian team finally found the muscle to go past 300 runs.

KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer had a bad day with the bat as they failed to make any significant contribution. So, the responsibility of taking the team to a decent score was on Pandya and Jadeja’s shoulders and they delivered.

As Australia came to bat, for the first time in this series they were under pressure from the Indian bowlers and that is exactly what India would aim to achieve in the upcoming T20 series.
