Sword is hanging over his neck, Harbhajan Singh backs senior batter for 3rd Test

The three-match Test series between India and South Africa is tied at 1-1.  The final and decider Test starts on Wednesday in Cape Town. While India won the first Test match in Centurion, the Proteas bounced back in the second Test at Johannesburg. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh said the team management must back Ajinkya Rahane for the final Test against the Proteas.

Veteran Spinner has asked and advised Rahane to convert the fifties into big hundreds. Harbhajan does not want Rahane to be replaced with the return of skipper Virat Kohli. Rahane’s poor form with the bat continued as he incurred the first-ever golden duck of his Test career in the first innings of the second test. However, Rahane clawed back in style and scored a fighting half-century in the second innings.

Harbhajan said that Rahane must be given another chance to prove himself in Cape Town. Harbhajan hopes that Rahane would not be made to sit out. Indian Legendary spinner wants Rahane to score more runs and convert his fifty to a hundred so that his confidence will grow and get better for the upcoming series. The sword is hanging over the neck of Ajinkya Rahane.

Harbhajan felt that Rahane batted well and scored runs with responsibility in the second test. Former off-spinner hailed Rahane’s comeback spirit and admitted that the fifty has helped him as a morale boost. Harbhajan Singh backed team India to win the series. Harbhajan believes that Indian players will be on top of their game and win the series.
