Sunrisers Hyderabad with a brilliant all-around performance defeated Delhi Capitals by a huge margin of 88 runs. This is Hyderabad’s fifth win in the tournament. In front of a humongous target of 220 runs from Hyderabad, Delhi team was reduced to 131 runs in 19 overs. Wriddhiman Saha, David Warner and Rashid Khan proved to be the heroes of this match for the Sunrisers.
Saha and Warner each hit a blazing half-century. At the same time, Rashid Khan took 3 wickets for 7 runs in 4 overs. Rishabh Pant scored the most runs for Delhi where he made 36 runs. While Ajinkya Rahane 26, Tushar Deshpande 20 and Shimron Hetmyer scored 16 runs in the contribution to the chase. Apart from these, no batsman could touch the double figure mark. This is now Delhi Capitals’ third loss in a row. Apart from Rashid Khan, T Natarajan and Sandeep Sharma took two wickets each for Hyderabad. Sunrisers scored 219 for 2 wickets in 20 overs. Wriddhiman Saha missed his first century in the league as he was dismissed for 87 runs off 45 balls. Saha hit 12 fours and two sixes in his innings. Manish Pandey scored 44* runs while Kane Williamson remained unbeaten on 11 runs. David Warner scored 66 off 34 balls that saw him hit 8 fours and 2 sixes.
