Shane Warne: Hardik is in my top-three favorite cricketers on the planet

Australia’s legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne said that he wished Pandya was a part of the India Test squad ahead of upcoming India vs Australia Test series.

Since Pandya is recuperating from the back surgery, he was dropped from the Test squad against Australia. But his performance with the bat in the ODIs and T20Is enthralled cricket fans all around the globe. Warne said Pandya is his top-three favorite cricketers and he hopes Pandya returns to Test format soon.

Shane Warne said on Sports Tak that Hardik Pandya is among his top-three favorite cricketers on the planet. He feels prior to the Australia Tour many opposed his views but after the ODIs and T20Is, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.

He believes the all-rounder is in great form and in the absence of Kohli he brings in more with his bat and the ball. Warne thinks Hardik helps India walk a little taller.

India won the T20 series by 2-1 and Pandya was awarded the Man of the Series and in the ODIs with 90 runs he was India’s highest run-scorer.

Warne viewed him as a rockstar since when he speaks people think of him as a West Indian who has come straight from Antigua. He signed off by saying that he would love to see Hardik in the Test squad at no. 7 and hopes he to feature in the Test team once he becomes fully fit.
