The sixth match of the 14th season of the IPL was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB defeated Hyderabad by 6 wickets in a thrilling match. With this win, they take first place in the points table.

Captain David Warner scored the highest score of 54 runs for the Sunrisers. Manish Pandey contributed 38, Rashid Khan 17 off 9 balls and Johnny Bairstow contributed 12 runs. Apart from these four, no batsman could touch the double figures. Shahbaz Ahmed took 3 wickets for RCB while Harshal Patel and Mohammad Siraj got 2 wickets each and Kayle Jamieson one wicket. Earlier, Glenn Maxwell scored the highest of 59 runs for RCB and Virat Kohli 33 runs. While others like Shahbaz Ahmed scored 14, Kayle Jameson 12, Devdutt Padikkal 11 runs.
Explosive batsman AB de Villiers was a flop in this match as he only scored one run. For Hyderabad, Jason Holder took 3 and Rashid Khan took two wickets in this match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Natarajan scalped a wicket each.
