No one has asked me but ready to open if needed: Hanuma Vihari

The Indian team touring New Zealand is to play the last format against the home ground players in the Test series. New Zealand Test players list is not visible yet, for the two test games. The first test between the host and the Kiwis begins on 21st February at Wellington and the 2nd Test at Christchurch from February 29th.

         India is playing a practice match with New Zealand players at Seddon Park cricket ground in Hamilton and Team Blue is in lead with 87 runs. On the first day of practice of match, Mayank Agarwal was gone for 1 run and Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill disappointed the team with a duck.

         Whereas Hanuma Vihari performed well and scored 101 runs, with Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane India stacked 263 runs. New Zealand in the first innings achieved 235 and placed India in lead. When sat with Vihari for a discussion, the 26 years old Indian cricketer shared feedbacks of pitch and the New Zealand bowling.

         Hanuma Vihari said that the batsman is not worried about the batting order for the team if the team needed the player to open Vihari would not hesitate, or for any order in that matter. About bowling, Vihari said the pitch fared well when the player batted in the practice match than with the New Zealand A team. Vihari said experiencing these tough conditions before the Test match would help the game.
