New Zealand Vs India 1st Test Day 1: Kyle Jamison Shines On Debut To Leave India Wobbling As Rain Forces Early Stumps

India met New Zealand for the 1st Test on 21st February 2020 in the Basin Reserves cricket ground at Wellington, New Zealand won the toss and decided to field against the host. Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw opened the match, and New Zealand bowler Tim Southee began the first over.

       The New Zealand bowlers kept the Indian batsmen padded as wickets fall indifference to the balls. In the 4.1 over, Southee pitched a half-volley to the Shaw’s stumps, and the delivery sent the batsman with 16 runs. Kyle Jamieson the U-19 recruit, played the 1st Test match with the senior’s team, and picked Cheteshwar Pujara for 11(41) runs as the bowler’s first test wicket, and then Jamieson continued.

         The Indian skipper’s wicket, which will mark the beginnings, Jamieson removed Kohli for 2 runs in the 17.4 overs. Mayank Agarwal leaves after 34(84) runs in the start of 34th over as a fourth-wicket for the host, and Hanuma Vihari padded next to score for the team. Jamieson gains another batsman off in the 41st over by sending  Vihari with 7(20) runs, Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant partners to continue the over.

         On 55th over, a total of 48 runs from 158 balls the Indian team were batting, but the rain had the match called-off and decided to continue in the morning (IST). India wrapped with 122 for 5 wickets.
