‘More good things to come’, Rahul Tripathi’s reaction after earning his maiden India call-up


Rahul Tripathi received his maiden national side call-up for the upcoming two-match T20I series against Ireland. After having a superb IPL season for SunRisers Hyderabad, the top-order batter failed to find a spot in the Indian squad for the series against South Africa. But Tripathi has now earned a place in the national team. Tripathi has opened up his emotions after being named in the squad.

The 31-year-old cricketer admitted that he is very happy and most importantly his dream has come true. Tripathi stated that every cricketer’s ultimate aim is to represent his country. The right-hand batter expressed that representing his nation is the biggest achievement of his life.

Tripathi said that more good things are to come for sure and hopefully he would be able to win games for India. He admitted that playing for team India will be a proud moment for him. Tripathi further added that he was not very disheartened and will keep performing well to claim more opportunities.

The Maharashtra cricketer expressed that he always looks to deliver well and score more runs to make the team win that he is representing. Tripathi thanked the selectors for giving him a great opportunity. Tripathi believes that he can perform his best to prove their selection is correct.

Tripathi wants to enjoy every moment of playing for India. SRH star batter expressed that he learned a lot from SRH batting mentor Brain Lara. Tripathi concluded that all those chats and important tips from Lara would really help him to perform well.
