MI snatches a victory from SRH to top the table

In yesterday’s IPL match Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in a thundering way by 13 runs. This is Mumbai’s second win and Hyderabad’s third consecutive defeat this season. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first and posted 150 runs for 5 wickets. In response, the Hyderabad team collapsed for 137 runs in 19.4 overs. With this victory, the Mumbai team is top of the points table with 4 points from three matches.
For Hyderabad, Johnny Bairstow scored 43 off 22 balls, David Warner scored 36 off 34 balls and Vijay Shankar scored 28 off 25 balls. In the middle order, Virat Singh 11, Abdul Samad 7, Manish Pandey 2, and Abhishek Sharma were dismissed for 2 runs while Rashid Khan could not even open an account. Trent Boult and Rahul Chahar took 3-3 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Krunal Pandya got a wicket each. Earlier, Kieron Pollard scored 35 runs with key contributions from Quinton De Kock (40), Rohit Sharma (32), Ishan Kishan (12) and Suryakumar Yadav (10).
Hardik Pandya could not reach the 20-run mark for the third match in a row. He was dismissed for 7 runs. Earlier, he was dismissed for 13 against RCB and 17 against KKR. Vijay Shankar and Mujib ur Rehman bowled dangerously for Hyderabad in the match. Shankar took 2 for 19 and Mujib took 2 wickets for 29 runs and Khalil took one wicket for 24 runs.
