Kuldeep Yadav reveals he was very emotional while receiving the Test cap on his debut

Kuldeep Yadav made his debut against Australia at Dharmasala in 2017. In a recent interview with Mayank Agarwal and Yuzvendra Chahal on the show, ‘Open Nets With Mayank’ the left-arm spinner revealed that he went blank when receiving the Test cap. He did not realize what was happening and did not listen to what others were speaking since that was his biggest moment in life.

He further went on to say representing India in Test cricket was a dream come true and taking the wicket of David Warner made it more special. Kuldeep went on to take four wickets in that match which was very crucial for India’s victory of the first match.

Kuldeep also spoke about his second ODI hat-trick that he registered against West Indies at Visakhapatnam in December 2019. He recalled how that match against West Indies was like a return to the ODI game after a long gap. He took the wickets of Shai Hope, Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph to register his second hat-trick in ODI. That also made Kuldeep as the first Indian bowler to take two hat-tricks in ODI. He stated about him being confident of taking the hat-trick since it was the only lower-order present in the crease. Kuldeep confessed the second hat-trick will remain extra special. In the interview, Kuldeep and Chahal cracked jokes, discussed their routine and time spent with their families during the lockdown.
