Sunrisers Hyderabad held their nerves to beat Mumbai Indians by 3-runs in a last-over thriller at Wankhede Stadium to keep their playoff hopes alive. Chasing a mammoth target of 194, Mumbai Indians fought hard as Rohit Sharma (48), Ishan Kishan (43), and Tim David (48) played some brilliant knocks but in the end, they fell just 3 runs short. SRH pacer Umran Malik was sensational with the ball as he claimed three crucial wickets.

Batting first, SRH had an early blow as Abishek Sharma departed for just 9. Priyam Garg and Rahul Tripathi led their side to a solid recovery. Garg played a fine knock of 42-runs before Ramandeep Singh bagged him. Tripathi and Nicholas Pooran (38) played shots all over the park to add 76-runs for the third wicket.

However, Ramandeep took two wickets in an over and gave MI a strong comeback in the death overs. SRH managed just to score just 29-runs in the final four overs. Tripathi, who was in red-hot form, smashed 76-runs to help SRH to a big total of 193/6 in 20 overs.

In reply, Rohit and Ishan gave a bright start to their side by scoring 95-runs for the opening wicket. Washington Sundar gave the much-needed breakthrough by dismissing Rohit. MI once again witnessed a mini-collapse as they lost regular wickets.

It seemed like David would blow SRH away, but his run-out changed the momentum of the game. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was economical and bowled a wicket-maiden 19th over. Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled well to defend 18-runs and secured the win for SRH.
