Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. Delhi Capitals reclaimed the top spot of the IPL Points table after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad. Brilliant bowling performance by Delhi Capitals pacers restricted Sunrisers to 134/9 in 20 overs. Chasing an average target of 135, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant put a good partnership in the middle to ensure a comfortable win.

After electing to bat, SRH opener David Warner was dismissed for a duck in the first over off Anrich Nortje. Wriddhiman Saha and Williamson added 29 runs together to rebuild SRH innings, but Kagiso Rabada dismissed Saha for 18.  SRH skipper Williamson failed to score big and went for 18. Sunrisers found it hard to score quick runs as they lost wickets at regular intervals.

While Adbul Samad top-scored with 28 runs, all-rounder Rashid Khan contributed 22. DC pacer Rabada picked up three wickets. Other seamers Nortje and Avesh Khan scalped two wickets each. DC was quick in the chase, but lost their opener Prithvi Shaw inside the power-play. Williamson took an excellent running-catch off Khaleel Ahmed to dismiss Shaw. Shikhar Dhawan and Iyer scored at a good pace and completed a fifty-run partnership.

Rashid Khan broke the partnership by dismissing Dhawan for 42. Abdul Samad took a brilliant catch in the deep. DC Captain Pant joined Iyer and put on an unbroken 67-run stand to take DC home. While Iyer remained unbeaten on 47, Pant hit a quick 35 off 21 balls.

SRH remains at the bottom of the table. Sunrisers are almost out of the playoff race as they had lost 7 matches.
