On Thursday the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 auction is all set to go underway in Chennai from 3 pm onwards. Everybody’s attention would be on the auction as the 8 franchises come up with a squad for the 14th edition of the IPL. A total of 292 players will go under the hammer during this mini-auction. With 61 slots available across the 8 franchises a total of 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and 3 players from associate nations will hope to get a deal. The highest base price category is Rs 2 crore which has players like Harbhajan Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Glenn Maxwell, Moeen Ali, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, Sam Billings, and Mark Wood. The base price of Rs. 1.5 crore has 12 players shortlisted in this category while there are 11 cricketers such as Umesh Yadav and Hanuma Vihari enlisted in the base price of Rs 1 crore. The available money in the purse and the slots to be filled for each franchise are as follows.
