IPL 2020: UAE cricket board confirms offer to host IPL

The Emirates Cricket Board has communicated its enthusiasm for facilitating the IPL this year if India chooses to move the T20 competition out of the Country.

The 13th IPL was scheduled to start out in late March but it had been postponed indefinitely thanks to the worldwide health crisis. there’s speculation that the BCCI is trying to find an October window to carry the event just in case the T20 World Cup in Australia isn’t held this year.

A report within the ‘Gulf News’ said that the UAE Cricket Board has made a suggestion to the BCCI that it can host the IPL. In the past, ECB has successfully hosted IPL matches in UAE. we have a proven record of being hosts as a neutral venue for various bilateral and multi-nation cricket activities within the past. Our state-of-the-art venues and facilities make the Emirates a desired place for hosting all kinds of cricket.

We have come to the fore and offered our venues to both England and India. we’ve also hosted matches involving the Britain team on multiple occasions previously. If our offer is haunted by either of the Boards, then we’ll be pleased to facilitate the hosting of their matches.

Sri Lanka Cricket is that the other Board that has expressed interest to host the IPL if India decides to carry the tournament abroad. ICC takes a choice of the T20 World Cup during its committee meeting through video conference on June 10.
