India Vs Australia Women’s T20 World Cup: India beat Australia by 17 runs

India Women versus Australia Women cricket teams matched against for the T20 World Cup in the Sydney Showground on 21st February 2020. Australia won the toss and fielded against the Women in Blue team.

         Shafali Verma scored 29(15) runs, Jemimah Rodrigues added 26(33) runs, and Deepti Sharma’s 49(46) runs brought India’s score 132 for 4 wickets. Australian bowlers Jess Jonassen took the Indian women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana in 49 balls.

         Indian Women’s cricket team notched up Sydney’s stadium in bling by dropping the defending World Cup champions wickets on the grounds of home players. Alyssa Healy who scored a half-century was the Indian Women’s bowler Poonam Yadav’s first wicket, thereafter the runs were precisely managed the Indian Women bowlers. Beth Mooney, the Australian Women’s skipper Meg Lanning, Rachael Haynes were all removed for less than 10 runs by the Indian Women’s balls.

         Ashleigh Gardner the all-rounder added 34(36) runs and left by the Indian women’s Shikha Pandey balls. Panday had hattrick wickets in the day’s match, and Yadav has collected one more to a total of 4 wickets in the bowler’s chart records. Taniya Bhatia the Indian women’s wicket-keeper confirmed with on-point stumping delivered by Poonam in the bowling position.

The T20 Cup defenders Australia Women’s were all-out for 115 in 19.5 to the host. The Indian Women’s on 24th February, are playing with Bangladesh Women’s team in the 2020 World Cup Cricket matches.
