India eye series sweep against Sri Lanka in Pink ball 2ns test

The Indian team eyes a clean sweep of Sri Lanka in the second test starting today at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. India will play its fourth Day-Night Pink-Ball Test when they take on the Lankans in the series decider. India leads the two-match series 1-0 after thrashing the Lankans by an innings and 222-run in the first test. Team India will be strong favorites to stay unbeaten in pink-ball Tests at home.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will be keen to win his first Test series as India’s full-time captain. The bonus for the final match would be the inclusion of the fans. Initially, 50% of fans were allowed entry and now with no restrictions, all fans would fly to the stadium to watch the likes of Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rohit Sharma & co take on the Lankans.

Over the years, the pitch at M Chinnaswamy Stadium has been good for the batters. This time it could have a special effect on the batters with the usage of the pink ball. The pitch has been favorable for the batters during the first three days of play. However, the pitch starts to crack as the game progresses, and it would favor the spinners. It will be interesting to watch how the pink ball behaves on the last two days of the match.

Kohli will be hoping to hit a century on a pitch that is well known to him. Left-arm spinner Axar Patel could make the playing XI after being added in place of Kuldeep Yadav. It would be an exciting contest as the day-night match is unpredictable.
