In the wake of dismissing Virat Kohli thrice in the recently concluded ODI series Josh Hazlewood says he will carry a bit of psychological advantage going into the Test series. However, the Australian pace bowler has refused of having an edge over the Indian captain.
Hazlewood on Sunday said the only pink-ball Test that Kohli would play during the series before returning home to attend the birth of his first child, will be a fresh start.
On Sunday Hazlewwod told the reporters said he doesn’t feel he has the wood against Kohli. He has had some luck against Kohli in the white-ball series and he will take a little bit of that advantage into the Test series. But he believes it is pretty much a fresh start since it is a different story with the pink ball.
Hazlewood further added he thinks it is crucial to start well against Kohli as they have got him only for two innings in the first Test. So, it is important to start well and hopefully nullify Kohli’s effect in those innings.
Speaking about the pace of the game he obviously thinks the game moves very quickly at night than compared to the daytime. But it mostly depends on the type of ball. Previously against England when they had the new ball at night James Anderson and Stuart Broad swung the ball around corners at night and the game moved very quickly.
