Have A World Cup Left In Me”: Robin Uthappa Optimistic About India Return.

The Indian batsman Robin Uthappa who shared the 2007 maiden T20i World Cup win had also played in the ODI World Cup in the same year. Robin Uthappa aims to return for another short-series world cup journey, the 35 years old batsman currently represents Kerala domestic team and has performed 46 ODI’s and 13 T20i matches.

After the 2015 national match in an international sports interview, Uthappa said to the interviewer about wanting to play again in the World Cup for the T20i matches, since the cricketer wants to contribute to the team. Uthappa said, to have such a comeback in the Indian team, one must need luck, but with an eye of talent, the country has the best team. The veteran said never to give up on oneself, especially when known the ability of self, one should keep pushing ahead.

Uthappa’s love for cricket will continue, until his dream to play World Cup fulfils and cherish a win with the team, until either Uthappa or the boots of the player would not rest, added the cricketer. Previously Uthappa had batted in the opening order in the field, but now the cricketer wishes to bat in middle-order. Though Uthappa focuses to become a good finisher, rather being an opening batsman, because the Indian team needs a good finisher, the batsman and the veteran cricketer has been practicing every day during the quarantine period to become better.
