Chahal’s magical spell does the trick for RCB against Warner’s SRH

The third match of the 13th season of India’s cricketing premier league was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The team led by Virat Kohli, RCB won the match. Bangalore have now started the tournament by winning by 10 runs against SRH, captained by David Warner.

In this match, SRH team captain David Warner won the toss and chose bowling. Batting first, RCB scored 163 for 5 wickets as debutant Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers scored their half-centuries. Unfortunately, Kohli could not contribute much as he was dismissed by Natarajan and only scored 14 runs off 13 balls. In response, Hyderabad chased the target of 164 runs to lose all wickets and scored 153 runs that saw them losing the match. Johnny Bairstow scored a half-century and Manish Pandey scored 34 runs.

Hyderabad had a poor start chasing their 164-run target. David Warner, standing on the non-striker’s end was run out when Umesh Yadav deflected the ball that was hit by Bairstow to the stumps and returned back scoring 6 runs. Manish Pandey, batting brilliantly, was dismissed for 34 runs off 33 balls.

Bairstow reached his half-century by batting brilliantly and completed his 50 with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Later in the 16th over Chahal dismissed Bairstow for 61 runs. SRH lost 8 wickets for 32 runs and lost the match. Chahal was awarded the Player of the Match for his 18-3 performance.
