Australia set dates for COVID-threatened India cricket tour

Slowly the Australian cricket board will begin organizing matches amidst the coronavirus in a secured environment, both for the players, and staff since cricket matches can be made possible. Cricket Australia, on 28th May 2020, said that Australia will soon host a match series and will play the formats beginning from the early dates of August 2020. After a few months of the ban, international sports are resuming in countries with strict regulations laid for players.

Apart from the travel regulations and quarantining the players, Cricket Australia consider the up-coming series as a revenue return set-up for the board. Australian cricketers had looped themselves with Afghanistan, India, West Indies, and Zimbabwe teams to compete with the cricket calendar for the year. Kevin Roberts, Cricket Australia’s CEO, said that they are evolving every day, and the team has scheduled, to begin, with Zimbabwe on August 9th, 2020 for, 3 ODI series. The CA cricketers later will meet the Indian team for the Test matches, at the end of the year, and ODI in the 2021 beginning. Thus, the schedule discussed will be soon confirmed by the CA board, where the ICC T20 World Cup has also lined up for the team.

Finally, Kevin Roberts added that he will make sure his complete has given to commence the international series, and would simultaneously follow the protocols. Cricket Australia will thrive like in any other crisis that has occurred these past 140 years ago.
