In the 22nd match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Royal Challengers  Bangalore defeated Delhi Capitals by one run. In this match played at the Narendra  Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose bowling. Royal  Challengers Bangalore scored 171 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target,  Delhi Capitals were able to score 170 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. 

Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 58 runs off 48 balls with  the help of 6 fours and Shimron Hetmyer scoring 53 runs off 25 balls with the help  of 2 fours and 4 sixes. With this victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore topped the IPL  2021 points table Arrived. Delhi Capitals is at number three. 

Earlier, AB de Villiers remained unbeaten on 75 runs off 42 balls for RCB. He  hit 3 fours and 5 sixes during his innings. De Villiers scored 23 runs in the last over  of Marcus Stoinis by smashing 3 sixes. Delhi Capitals made one change in their  playing eleven and Royal Challengers Bangalore made two changes for this match. 

This is the first time the two teams came face to face for the first time at the  Narendra Modi Stadium. So far, 27 matches have been played between both sides  in the IPL. Of these, Delhi Capitals have won 10 matches and Royal Challengers  Bangalore have won 16 matches with one match not yielding results.
