BCCI released the full schedule for the IPL 2020 on Sunday. Defending champions Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2020 opener on September 19 in Abu Dhabi. Mumbai will also feature in the last match of the league phase playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which ends on November 3.
Dubai will have its first game when the Delhi Capitals will take on Kings XI Punjab on Sunday. Later followed by that the third match of the season will have the teams from south Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore play against each other on Monday.
Sharjah will host the first match on September 22 when Rajasthan Royals will face Chennai Super Kings. The season will see a total number of 10 doubleheader matches. BCCI said the venues for the playoff matches and the final match will be announced later. In all Abu Dhabi will host 20 round-robin games, Dubai 24, and Sharjah 12.
The 13th edition of IPL will take place in the UAE from September 19 to November 10. This season will be hosted around the UAE for 53 days. When compared to the last two seasons IPL 2020 is three days longer. The matches will be played at the venues of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The night matches will start at 7:30 pm IST and the afternoon matches at 3:30 pm IST.
