India series is big, New Zealand need to win 2 out of 3 formats to get pass marks: Craig McMillan

India Vs New Zealand series is to begin from January 24th to March 4th, 2020. India touring New Zealand soil has 5 T20i’s, 3 ODI’s and 2 Test matches are scheduled with each other. The T20 Internationals that are calendared is being played for 5 days from Jan 24th – February 2nd.

KL Rahul will be retained as the batsman-keeper for this T20i matches and New Zealand has 14 members squad to play against team India. The first match begins at the Eden Park stadium, Auckland in New Zealand.

Craig McMillan the ex-right-handed batsman and the current coach for the New Zealand team named the Indian cricketers as ‘Powerhouse’ for the series. The coach used the metaphor to highlight that the Indian team’s performance on the pitch will be a deal-breaker no matter what the series title Team Blue plays.  

The coach McMillan confirmed that it is important for New Zealand to win at least 2 formats to pass the home ground series and also to redeem the failure against the Australian Test 2020. McMillan coach also added that being the World Cup year, the New Zealand team will need a desperate win in this T20i series.

Craig McMillan, Kane Williamson, and the team will also be playing 3 practice matches against Team Blue from February 14th – 16th and the coach said that this series could be important for both teams.
