A slightly different beast: Pat Cummins compares Australian conditions with India

The famous rival’s meet again for 3 ODI series to begin from January 14th to 19th, at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Australia’s fast-bowler, and the right-handed batsman Pat Cummins and team is all set to tour India for the game series. Their ODI team consists of more than 4 bowlers and experienced strong batsmen.

In an interview when asked about the Indian pitch to Cummins, he said that the field set-up in Australia is quite smaller and the bowling rates will be higher than in India. More specifically, he added that ‘minefield’ pitch in the Wankhede Stadium will be apt for their bowling team because after pitching a few overs, the ball becomes softer. So, the bounce and spin will be at an alarming rate. Cummins said that they might be facing the same challenge when the Indian’s are pitching the field.

In the current ODI list, India ranks a number and above in the chart with 61 matches from Australia whose 4th in position with 50 matches. The teams meet again after the World Cup in 2019.

2 extraordinary bowlers Ashton Agar the arm spinner and Adam Zampa the leg spinner is to travel with the team. Indian squad also has numbered bowlers to pitch against Australian batsmen. Undoubtedly, the match will lit media, especially after Pat Cummins named (a slightly different beast) the Indian pitch. The stadium awaits the new recruits for them to taste the ground.
